Administrative Core
Principal Investigator: Charles M. Rudin, MD, PhD
Co-investigators: Philip Cole, David Holtgrave, Craig Peacock
The Administrative Core of the Center provides overall oversight of the Center, sets internal priorities and funding decisions, reviews and promotes opportunities for interaction between the Research Cores, plans internal meetings, ensures regulatory compliance of projects conducted using Center resources, coordinates interactions between the Center and the parent organization and other FAMRI-funded Centers of Excellence, and is responsible for annual reports and financial summaries of the Center. This Core is directed by the Center Principal Investigator, Charles Rudin, and includes the other Research Core directors (Drs. Cole, Peacock, and Holtgrave) as well as financial administrative and research regulatory staff. Members of the Administrative Core and other key support staff (website administrator, seminar series coordinator, and others as needed) meet on a monthly basis to discuss center progress and review proposed research initiatives. Key decisions about reallocation of funds and research prioritization are made within this group. The Administrative Core is also responsible for coordinating selection, annual review, and oversight of pilot projects funded internally through the Center’s Developmental Research Program.
